To Success And Beyond

Salam,

nothing.jpgUrghh.. Now it seems really awkward to type something in this blog. Hehe.. First, I just in the mood of write an entry in English. Even I really sound stupid dumb dumb when ever I use English as medium of communication, and I think I’m even cooler if I use my lovely mother tongue kelantanese dialect and even sexier if it is northern dialect. Haha.. :D

I would say the entry on mumbling is here, taken place on today post. Since past 2 weeks and before, juggling on outstation made me feels time is never enough. There are 2 books seems always grab my greed on finishing them up. My little green “Fooled by Randomness” and the sweetie “Blink”. But then, each time I tried to spend some quality time with them, I just been woke up by my hand phone alarm. “The time is ….” I not even realize I had fallen to sleep mode. Poor my books. I just too busy for them.

Oh, to anybody who interested on the books, Fooled by Randomness is a book about science of uncertainty. How people underestimate the power of uncertainty in their lives. You know what; I’ve been addictive on studying Monte Carlo simulation since then. This Nassim Taleb surely knows how to lure me to go in depth of this randomness, alternative histories, and all kind of future predictive statistical quantitative financial mathematics thing. Uh.. You aspect me to explain further? ;) But one thing I really like of this author. Let me quote a line of his preface:

“One of authors of the misguided The Millionaire Next Door wrote another even more foolish book called The Millionaire Mind.”

Haha… I think everybody know who the author that he talking about eh. It is very hard to find an author who directly condemns other author in his/her book. But this Nassim is such a sarcastic one. One of its kind. I guess girls see sarcastic guy as a sexy one. Hurm.. No wonder Dr. House have a lot of girls fan. Phew.. need to start learn to be one.

On other side, Blink is a book about science or maybe you want to call it art of thinking without thinking. Interesting enough, Malcom Gladwell intro story make my eagerness to read further never stop from the day I bought the book, just the time is not there. Once mark as technical guy, I think it is make sense as well to consider ‘hunch’ as decision factor.

Sad enough not to have time for my books, I just blew off my Forex account. Yes, both of them. FXCM and FXOpen. Ouch… No numbers to be asked please. :(

Silent moment of grief………………..

I’ve been thinking. Lots of them (thinking). Then, I conclude that to be success, you need to truly understand the meaning of “You are nothing”. The quoted line is basically what my grandfather preaches whenever the issue of fate and destiny is somehow related to the topic discussed.

At this moment, I still can’t find a proper arrangement of sentences to describe what I’m thinking on that. Maybe I’ll continue later….

See you around friends….
